Autumn
As I traveled from New York this week, I noticed the changing of leaves. It’s coming upon my
favorite time of the year, and who better describes it than Emily Dickinson; in
her own words.
Have a great week!
Autumn
The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.
