Winter Wheat

As I think back on the events of this week, I'm reminded of a quote by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who was part of the women's movement and one of my all-time favorite people in history.  In my mind, it applies to the circumstances we find ourselves in this week.  I found comfort in these words and they definitely resonated with my feelings as I tried to find the silver lining in my true sadness about the election.  She said, "“We are sowing winter wheat, which the coming spring will see sprout and which other hands than ours will reap and enjoy.”

Have a good weekend, everyone.

Celebrate With Me

I just realized I haven't posted here for over a month.  My bad!  With the fabulous advent of a new computer and busy days, time seems to have gotten away from me.  Needless to say, this week has especially been uplifting because the first article that I wrote for the Capabilities magazine (Central Penn Parent) was published!  As a writer, nothing compares to seeing your name in print.  I must say the outpouring of support and plaudits are overwhelming!  I re-posting it in my blog in case those who haven't read my article can.  Feel free to comment.

Have a fabulous weekend, everyone!
