Dreaming the Impossible
The
quote below caught my eye, so I decide to post it. It is true, and so applies to my life and
some of the individuals I hold so close to my heart.
“The
only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the
impossible.” – Arthur C. Clarke
On a
side note, I’d like to give a shout out to my friends, Mark and Laura, who are
getting married this weekend. Congrats
to the both of you. I’m so totally
excited as you continue your journey together!
I can’t wait to see everyone this weekend.
P.S. A very Happy Birthday to my Mom as well. Love you!

T'is So Much Joy
This poem by (guess who?) Emily Dickinson caught my eye today
and I decided to post it Sometimes, we
all need to take heed of the joy in life because we never know when it will be
cut short. Well, today is my day to be
reminded of that…and who better to do this than my all-time favorite poet! Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
’T is so much joy! ’T is so much joy!
If I should fail, what poverty!
And yet, as poor as I
Have ventured all upon a throw;
Have gained! Yes! Hesitated so
This side the victory!
If I should fail, what poverty!
And yet, as poor as I
Have ventured all upon a throw;
Have gained! Yes! Hesitated so
This side the victory!
Life is but life, and death but death!
Bliss is but bliss, and breath but breath!
And if, indeed, I fail,
At least to know the worst is sweet.
Defeat means nothing but defeat,
No drearier can prevail!
Bliss is but bliss, and breath but breath!
And if, indeed, I fail,
At least to know the worst is sweet.
Defeat means nothing but defeat,
No drearier can prevail!
And if I gain,—oh, gun at sea,
Oh, bells that in the steeples be,
At first repeat it slow!
For heaven is a different thing
Conjectured, and waked sudden in,
And might o’erwhelm me so!
Oh, bells that in the steeples be,
At first repeat it slow!
For heaven is a different thing
Conjectured, and waked sudden in,
And might o’erwhelm me so!

Joy
“Your success and happiness lies in
you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host
against difficulties.”
~Helen Keller
Although writen almost a cenury ago,
Helen Keller’s words ring true to this day.
As I continously grow in age, (and hopefully, widsom,) I find that a
happy spirit repels difficulties and ensures a joyful life. I’ve reconized the power to be happy lies
within myself, not others. Useful words
to keep in mind on this beautiful spring day!
